KEY PERFOMANCE AREAS

Although not restricted to these functional areas and can collaborate with other entities to ensure achieving the mandate, Friends Architects and Project Management (Pty) Limited is focussing on the following key performance areas: 

• Architectural services: leading in the designing of commercial, education, health, housing and other building infrastructure; 

• Urban Design and Management: leading in the designing of urban spaces–housing neighbourhoods, street spaces, parks and modelling of street furniture;

• Upgrading of the poorly designed urban human settlements to meet the stipulated best practices;

• Programme and Project management: provide strategic leadership in the planning, execution and controlling of the programmes and projects; and lead in the evaluation of such programmes and Projects to ensure that he key challenges identified are factored into the policies.

• Pavement Management system: The practice is able to undertake the visual analysis of all pavements so as to eventually implement a solution that will be suitable to the road.

• Municipal services: Feasibility studies, strategic and master planning, design, documentation, contract administration and construction supervision for infrastructure in residential, commercial and industrial developments.

• Water services: Strategic and master planning, design, documentation, contract administration and construction supervision for water treatment works, sewage treatment works, catchments and outfalls sewers, onsite sanitation systems.

• Roads: Planning, evaluation, geometric and pavement design documentation, contract administration, consortium monitoring for parking areas, development sites, minor and major roads, mass earthworks and road rehabilitation

• Stormwater: Flood line studies, flood forecasting, flood management, road drainage systems analysis, catchments stormwater management and planning.

• Structural and Building: Planning, evaluation, analysis and design, inspection of buildings and facilities related to schools, health, sports and recreation, community, commercial, industrial, residential and roads infrastructure. Detailed design of ware houses, office buildings shopping complexes and apartment buildings.

• Development Management: Funding facilitation, technical and administrative support, municipal support, feasibility studies, project planning and management emerging contractor development, institutional development, community facilitation and liaison.
